A friendship is formed with another woman but things start to become twisted. Paranoia and delusions follow。沈家历代书香门弟，是一官宦之家，其后因二老爷(杨泽霖)走私被捕，要变卖家财筹释金，导致家道中落。大老爷(谭炳文)勉强当家，支撑大局，可惜二少(熊德诚)只懂玩乐，而三少(江华)又不理家事。[1]二、三少奶(乐蓓、翁虹)为保地位，终日吵闹，弄得家无宁日。老太爷临终授命四少(林祖辉)要振兴家业，但这位沈家的唯一支柱，却被家族上下排挤为难......。
