根据2007年塔利班挟持韩国人质事件改编，讲述阿富汗发生韩国人质绑架事件后，谈判专家郑在浩（黄政民饰）与负责中东事务的国情院特工朴大植（玄彬饰）为解救人质而联手与恐怖分子交涉的故事。。讲述一对好莱坞夫妇和他们的女儿安妮特的故事：丈夫亨利（亚当·德赖弗 Adam Driver 饰）是一位单口喜剧演员，妻子安则是一名歌剧明星（玛丽昂·歌迪亚 Marion Cotillard 饰），而他们神秘的女儿安妮特，又拥有怎样不同寻常的人生呢？。Birdcatcher Esmar and his wife Johanna face eviction from their farm in Gásadalur unless they have a son. Desperation sets in when Johanna gives birth to their third daughter. Pushed to the brink, Johanna is impregnated by another man, a French Captain, and gives birth to a son, known as ‘the birdcatcher’s son’. Everything seems perfect until the French Captain returns.。
