由李国立监制，以中国近代历史为背景的中篇剧《燃烧岁月》，故事是围绕主角常满（刘青云饰）的一生，由他经历民国、日本侵华、文化大革命等事故对中国人民身心所受的伤害，带出中国的沧桑动荡。 在民国六年，少年常满离开贫瘠家乡，远赴京城谋生。偶然下遇上前清掌管御厨的太监蒲公公（林尚武饰），蒲公公性格孤僻，却是烹调高手，常满跟他学艺并入玉家当下人。 玉老爷有二子，大子鸿鹄（邵仲衡饰）是大学生，对国事关心，二子年幼并有一童养媳童素素（罗慧娟饰），常满对素素心仪，唯独她锺情鸿鹄。蒲公公邂逅玉老爷之妹玉生烟（龚慈恩饰），生烟连番波折后，终跳过世人歧视与蒲公公相爱。鸿鹄眼看溥仪重登帝位，手持榴弹欲炸死张勋，失手牺牲。而玉老爷一家也被抄家，玉家失火而众人四散逃走。 在一九三七年的上海，常满在街旁摆设小菜档，偶然下重遇素素，她却已是上流社会中的交际花。玉老爷幼子鸿渐（邵仲衡饰...。After amusements working in a restaurant, Charlie uses his lunch break to go roller skating. Mr. Stout makes advances toward the unwilling Edna (whose father and Mrs. Stout had earlier carried on in the restaurant). After a roller skate ballet, Charlie (now as Sir Cecil Seltzer) is invited to a party at Edna's.
