家住江南水乡小镇上的三个少年，盘兴、豁达和金宝趁着“五•一”假期开始，骑车来到河边玩耍，无意中踢翻了在河边钓鱼的郭爷爷的小鱼桶，踩断了钓鱼杆，他们与郭爷爷发生争吵、碰撞。三个少年由于年少不懂事，不顾后果撇下躺倒在地上昏迷不醒的老人，迅速离开。 为了逃避责任，三人决定谁也不再提起此事。于是三个人都选择离开家，投奔自已的亲戚，但他们的心中各自笼罩着阴影。 阴差阳错，盘兴和豁达亲戚所住的暖水镇恰恰正是郭爷爷居住的地方，而此时的郭爷爷已经失去了记忆，没人知道他去河边钓鱼时究竟发生了什么事？这个谜团谁也解不开。怀着孩子与生俱来的那种冒险精神，加上一系列的巧合，盘兴和豁达走进了郭爷爷和他的小孙女悠悠的生活。 短短的几天时间，盘兴和豁达受尽了煎熬，开始是惧怕，害怕郭爷爷一朝醒来认出他们，接着又开始悔恨和内疚，因他们看到了由于自己的过失，使郭爷爷和悠悠的生活陷入了困...。Soft boys by day, kings by night: That’s how the young Bulgarian Roma are when they come to Vienna looking for freedom and a quick buck.
