编号为413的死神君（大野智 饰）入行前相信，死神的工作是可以让逝者感受到幸福的一件工作。可是入行后才发现，他日常主要负责在某人去世前现身，并通知对方死亡的时刻，届时将灵魂带走，剪断与人世的羁绊后将灵魂送入另一个世界。死神君发现，许多人在死前的那一刻都留有诸多的遗憾，而作为死神的他无能为力，他为此内心倍感低落。也许为了减少遗憾，死神君经常会帮助将死之人完成夙愿，甚至会违反规定让灵魂看到死后的场景。他因此遭到严厉的监死官（桐谷美玲 饰）的训斥。某天死神君不小心弄丢了死亡笔记，由此造成了不小的混乱，甚至还让恶魔（菅田将晖 饰）窜入人间。倒霉的死神君不得不一次次穿梭阴阳两界，满足人们的心愿，解决所有突如其来的麻烦…… 本片根据えんどコイチ的漫画原作改编。。Josh (Keegan-Michael Key) and Melissa (Cecily Strong) miss the magic they felt in Schmigadoon and in an attempt to return, find themselves in Schmicago—the reimagined world of ’60s and ’70s musicals.
