城市姑娘张一一和出身农村的男朋友祥子，一起前往农村支教，所见所闻中让张一一感受到众多留守儿童需要家庭的关爱；碍于门第观念，张一一也在祥子和母亲介绍的对象赵刚之间纠结……。影片讲述十七岁的女工卡捷琳娜因天真幼稚和充满幻想而冒充教授的女儿，并爱上了电视台摄影师鲁道夫，进而怀了孕。不久，鲁道夫发现真相并抛弃了卡捷琳娜。但卡并未就此消沉，她一面抚养孩子，一面发愤读书，终于在十六年后成为莫斯科一家大厂的厂长。此后，卡捷琳娜又结识了电焊工果沙，并一直隐瞒自己的身份。真相再一次暴露后，卡捷琳娜在女友们的帮助下，经过一番周折终于结束了单身生活，得到了一个女人真正的幸福。。Framing StoryDr Martin (Robert Powell) arrives at a secluded asylum "for the incurably insane" to be interviewed for a job by the wheelchair-using, authoritarian Dr Lionel Rutherford (Patrick Magee).
