在城市的边缘，有一个无人管理的地方,称为第8区。里面鱼龙混杂,三教九流无不在其中,他们干着黄、赌、毒等勾当，看似混乱的社会，却也有着自己的秩序。。不少人昔日或都有個歌手夢，卻因為生活、家庭等種種原因，迫於無奈放低夢想。《中年好聲音》由車婉婉擔任主持，接受35歲或以上人士參加，讓中年唱將們把握機會登上追夢列車！一百位參賽者經過海選躋身節目舞台，先透過盲選形式作賽。Maria Cordero、伍仲衡、張佳添等組成五人評審團，會憑聲線撳燈，揀選出五十個晉級人選。參賽者接着需要面對不同形式、主題的挑戰，披荊斬棘向着夢想奮鬥，力爭成為終極好聲音！。For two years BBC cameras have followed, Dr Sheperd Doeleman of the Smithsonian Astrophysical Observatory and the work of the Event Horizon Telescope project team, a collective of the top scientific minds from around the world.
