新中国成立后，川西地区残匪横行，他们以曾剃头（魏宗万饰）、杜辣子（周国宾 饰）为首袭击我运粮队，抓走我军管干部陈志明（方舟波 饰），气焰十分嚣张。我军营长曹威龙（何麟 饰）打入匪穴，成功将陈志明救出。富豪家当丫头的春兰（史戈 饰）与曹青梅竹马，她帮曹威龙在县府大院的地道里成功起获大量美式武器。曹威龙决定将计就计，引敌入瓮。不料内部出现叛徒，反动乡绅张品三（许守钦 饰）抢先一步杀人灭囗，春兰也不幸被捕。曹威龙制止了群情震怒的广大战士，继续实施诱敌之计。战斗开始后，曹率全营官兵痛击蜂涌而上的敌人，无奈寡不敌众，土匪越来越多，眼看阵地不保，在这千钧一发之机......。Everyone has an opinion on bad cars... now it's time to hear the ones that really count--ours...
